CONCERT: Omar, DJ and promoter of Popscene presents the second annual Italians Do It Better Records. Tonight's showcase will feature performances from Glass Candy (fersh from Coachella), Desire (live debut), Twister Wire, and Mike Simonetti.

TALK: Jon Carroll (!) will host an intimate evening in conversation with Bay Area treasure, Rita Moreno. Moreno will discuss her successful career -- killing it as 'Anita' in West Side Story; winning a Tony, Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy; dating Marlon Brando, and living to tell about it; being all kinds of awesome. Proceeds go to benefit the academic and financial assistance programs at Park Day School in Oakland.
