Your backyard may not look like this until tomorrow. Are you receiving us? Do you have electricity and such? Apparently 10,000 Bay Area residents still do not, and some major power line connecting Northern and Southern California was knocked out near Monterey and total power coming our way has been cut by a third.

And this was apparently the worst October storm on record since at least 1962, when storms interrupted a World Series between the Giants and the Yankees...Car accidents numbered in the hundreds, and lots of trees fell down, so we here at SFist would just like to say we're glad you're still here with us and you're all still intact. Stay safe, friends. And if more wintry weather comes our way, WORK FROM HOME. We do. It's swell.
